Latest, and youngest, of the ICS Publications team members working in Washington, Bro. Joseph Girouard was born in Randolph, MA.  In 1987 he graduated from Stonehill College with a major in Psychology.   Further degrees were earned as a member of the Carmelites at the Chicago Theological Union: he completed successfully work for the master of Arts degree in Biblical Studies, the Master of Divinity degree, and the Graduated Certificate in Biblical spirituality.  While in Chicago he studied overseas in the lands of the Bible; and he has also made a study trip to Spain to visit the foundations of the Discalced Carmelite Order.

Along with work for ICS Publications he recently accepted the post of Reviews Editor for the quarterly Spiritual Life, published here at our monastery on Lincoln Road in northeast Washington, D.C.

Sister is a member of the Carmel of Port Tobacco in La Plata, Maryland.  Since she has experience updating her monastery's web page, she was asked to maintain the ICS Publications web page.  Sr. Marie Bernardina has been in Carmel for 10 years.
